Superb Bungalow Stay
wonderful service excellent food gluten free options helpful staff
The drawing room was like a home. Staff provided friendly and helpful service. Facilities and rooms were magnificent. Food was excellent at all meals. Soups and breads were excellent including gluten free options. Main courses featured wonderful seafood. Wines paired with the meals were very good. The chef described every meal to us. I could order items off the menu. Anything I wanted was available.
Humidity affected the linens. Furniture felt damp .

The hotel featured a pool with clear water and comfortable loungers. A library stocked with books was available for quiet reading. The on-site tea factory provided a look into tea processing with explanations from the staff.

The surrounding landscape included rolling tea plantations. The bungalows offered scenic views of Castlereagh Lake. Walking trails went through local villages. These walks provided opportunities to experience the landscape and the surrounding environment.

decent stay, some issues
personal service amazing view top restaurant old room careless host
This hotel is really good, each bungalow has its own character. i stayed in summerville, it had amazing views, personal service from the butler sanjay and his team. menus for the day were discussed in the morning with the chef and i could literally have anything my heart desires. It was really good top restaurant quality and beautifully presented!
The room was quite old and not well maintained. Especially the one called tientsin. the host nilantua was unhelpful and rather careless in handling things. i did meet one staff member named krishna who was very kind and genuinely helpful, but his warm attitude was the only positive part of my stay.

an excellent experience
expert drivers warm welcome complimentary tea
i booked a transfer from colombo and the drivers were expert. i felt at home immediately due to the warm welcome. i enjoyed the hike to another bungalow rewarded by lunch.
the aggressive payment policies and unfulfilled signature experiences left us feeling more like transactions. due to the location, all estates suffered from excessive humidity. linens and furniture felt damp throughout our stay.
